Positive Discipline Workshops

Positive Discipline is a method that is focused on encouragement and problem-solving and is aimed at developing mutually respectful relationships. It is based on the theories of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs. Jane Nelsen, a licensed marriage, family and child counselor and author of several Positive Discipline books, used these theories to offer valuable tools for parents and teachers to understand the child’s behavior and teach their children important social and life skills in a manner that is deeply respectful and encouraging for both, children and parents and – most important - to navigate with confidence and joy through parenthood.

It is designed to teach children to become responsible, respectful, and resourceful members of their communities. It teaches adults to employ kindness and firmness at the same time, and is neither punitive nor permissive.

I offer the following workshops for parents, teachers and other childcare providers together with Carolina Bonnett (Positive Discipline Parent Educator) in English, Spanish, and German:

  1. Workshop for Beginners - Use positive discipline that teaches important life skills and practical strategies to navigate with confidence and joy through parenthood

  2. Master Workshop - Participants of the Positive Discipline Beginners Workshop can refresh and deepen their knowledge of the principles and tools. Exchange with other parents success stories and find additional tools and solutions for challenges in your family life

  3. Individual family session - Family session with a personal Positive Discipline Coach
